Job Title:
Orthodontic Assistant/Hybrid Front Desk (2 Clinic Days, 1 Admin Day. Monday and Friday will be clinic days, Wednesday will be an admin day.) 27-30 Hours per week

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to serve as an Orthodontic Assistant to join our dedicated team. Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Orthodontic Assisting (Mondays and Fridays) Assist orthodontist during patient appointments, providing chairside support. Take X-rays, impressions, scans, and photographs as required. Educate patients and their families on ortho procedures, proper care, and oral hygiene. Ensure treatment bays are well-stocked, clean, and prepared for each patient. Maintain accurate patient records and charts. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with protocols. Provide excellent customer service and address patient concerns with professionalism and empathy. Hybrid Front Desk/Community Engagement (Wednesdays) Answer Phones, schedule patients, and verify insurance Periodically participate in community events, workshops, and seminars to promote orthodontic awareness. Work with Dr. Engel and Office Manager to establish partnerships with local schools, dental offices, and community organizations to enhance the clinic's visibility. Foster positive relationships with patients, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant or in a dental setting is highly desirable. Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent interpersonal abilities. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (preferred). Experience in dental software or office management system (preferred). Knowledge of orthodontic terminology and procedures (preferred).
Education and Certification:
Bachelor's degree preferred, not required. Experience will be prioritized over degree and certifications. Certification as an Orthodontic Assistant or Dental Assistant (preferred, not required).
