Job Description

Job Overview Join Smith Family Dental Solutions as a Dental Assistant, where your personality and experience will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this role, you will assist Dr. Smith during procedures, manage records, and ensure the practice operates smoothly and efficiently. Your attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and the overall success of our practice. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a slow-paced, friendly setting dedicated to patient experience. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all supplies are ready for procedures. Assist Dr. Smith chairside during a variety of treatments including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prost, oral surgery and pediatric dentistry. Take X-rays using digital sensors and CBCT. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) within Open Dental Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort before, during, and after procedures to promote safety and well-being. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions in a clear, friendly manner. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments. Requirements 3-5 years experience is preferred. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. CEREC experience is a must. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, aseptic technique, infection control, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with dental terminology, X-ray procedures, and medical coding for accurate documentation. Experience with EMR specifically Open Dental. Ability to perform X-ray imaging safely while adhering to all radiation safety guidelines. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is a plus for working effectively with young patients. Pay:
$24.76 - $29.82 per hour
