We are a private family dental practice in Cary focused on patient education, comprehensive care, and creating an outstanding patient experience. We are looking for someone who is compassionate, team-oriented, proactive, and takes pride in helping the entire office run smoothly. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team environment and understands that great patient care takes everyone working together. Responsibilities Assist the doctor during a variety of dental procedures including fillings, crowns, extractions, implants, root canals, and nitrous appointments Take dental radiographs ( x-ray certification required ) Prepare treatment rooms before and after procedures Maintain accurate patient documentation and assist with clinical charting as needed Take ownership of instrument sterilization throughout the day, ensuring instruments are processed efficiently and sterilization flow stays on track Follow proper infection control and sterilization protocols according to OSHA and CDC guidelines Monitor and maintain organization of the sterilization area Help maintain stocked, clean, and organized operatories throughout the day Assist hygienists and fellow team members whenever needed to help the day run efficiently Help turn rooms, prepare upcoming procedures, and support overall clinical flow Contribute to maintaining a clean, professional, and patient-friendly office environment at all times Qualifications Completion of a dental assisting program or chairside training with sufficient experience to qualify as a Dental Assistant I in North Carolina Current North Carolina x-ray certification Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology Experience assisting with restorative and general dental procedures preferred Familiarity with electronic dental records and dental software systems Strong communication skills and ability to work well with patients and team members High attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed Preferred (But Not Required) Experience with Open Dental Prior private practice experience Knowledge of dental coding and insurance terminology Schedule Tuesday•

8:00 AM•5:00 PM (Arrival time: 7:35 AM)
Friday:
