In this energetic and rewarding position, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and creating a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. Your expertise in dental procedures, infection control, and patient communication will help us maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed Take and develop dental X-rays and other medical imaging to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments Support the dental receptionist with appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out, and maintaining organized medical documentation Operate advanced equipment like 3D scanners and X-ray machines while adhering to safety standards Maintain a clean, sterile environment by following infection control procedures and proper sterilization techniques Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care to promote ongoing wellness Experience Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment, preferably with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry practices Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding for accurate documentation Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; knowledge of Epic is a plus Strong understanding of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and dental assisting best practices Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely and effectively Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure the confidentiality of patient information at all times Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members—including dental receptionists—and providing compassionate patient care Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills make a real difference!
