In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will support various dental procedures, maintain a sterile environment, and enhance the overall patient experience. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and other specialties while contributing to the health and confidence of our patients. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment for treatment. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Perform chairside assisting duties including taking vital signs, medical history documentation, and explaining procedures to patients. Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments and tools. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical documentation. Educate patients on oral health care practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness. Qualifications Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry settings. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while adhering to infection control protocols. Knowledge of dental assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry and aseptic technique. Familiarity with 3D scanners, medical imaging equipment, and digital radiography is desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to support patients of all ages, especially pediatric patients if applicable. Join us in delivering outstanding dental care!
