  • 2 DAYS / WEEK
Duties:
  • Assist the orthodontist in providing patient care and treatment
  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Take and develop dental x-rays
  • Assist with orthodontic procedures, including placing brackets and wires
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and care instructions
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate records
  • Perform dental receptionist duties, including answering phone calls and managing patient paperwork
  • Adhere to
HIPAA/OSHA
guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality and safety
Experience:
  • Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant-minimum 2 years
  • Knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures
  • Familiarity with dental software systems
  • Understanding of medical terminology and dental anatomy
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Skills:
  • Patient assessment skills to identify any issues or concerns
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
  • Proficient in dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing paperwork
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Familiarity with dental software systems, such as Eaglesoft or CAD, for record keeping and treatment-planning purposes
  • Understanding of dental assisting techniques and procedures to assist the orthodontist effectively We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
