The position is full-time, Monday through Thursday from 7:45 am to 6 pm. The dental assistant will be responsible for assisting our doctors with a variety of dental restorations including: fillings, crowns, cleanings, exams, extractions, implant placement, impressions, denture/partial try ins, and more. Prior dental experience or graduation from a Dental Assisting program is required, and strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of dental procedures is preferred. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus! We take pride in cultivating a welcoming team environment!
Responsibilities:
Assist our prosthodontist and general dentist. Maintains, reviews and confirms patients health histories. Clean, sanitize, and set up rooms for patients in line with OSHA best practices. Handle and sterilize instruments and materials for all procedures. Prepare patient for restorative procedures Evaluate patients' conditions and explain treatment to be performed or prescribed. Enter patient treatment plans and complete clinical note documentation and prescriptions into Dentrix Enterprise system. Take x-rays (must be x-ray certified) Monitor supply and inventory levels, report needed supplies for ordering. Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all state and federal regulations. CPR Certified Maintains regular and timely attendance Collaborate with front office staff to assist in other administrative duties as needed Our Ideal Candidate would be: Reliable Kind Interested in learning
