Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly contribute to providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and help create a welcoming atmosphere for patients of all ages. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and organized according to aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners and digital radiography systems. Manage patient records efficiently within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology accurately, managing vital signs, and supporting four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize workflow. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care while addressing their questions with professionalism and clarity. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to strict protocols for sterilization and handling of medical documentation and records. Requirements Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with pediatric dentistry or general dentistry environments. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing medical terminology related to dentistry. Knowledge of dental software such as Eaglesoft. Understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge related to oral structures, and the ability to perform vital signs assessment. Familiarity with medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance to ensure patient privacy and data security. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages; experience as a dental receptionist is a plus. Ability to work effectively within a team environment supporting four-handed dentistry practices while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
