Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support, patient care, and administrative tasks. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a positive patient experience while working in a fast-paced, professional environment focused on excellence in general and pediatric dentistry. Duties Assist dentists during various procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging technology such as 3D scanners and other medical imaging tools while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with medical documentation and coding standards. Monitor vital signs and assist in evaluating patient health status prior to procedures, especially in pediatric dentistry cases. Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and addressing patient inquiries professionally. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection control protocols and ensuring all equipment is properly sterilized. Support the dental team with administrative duties related to medical documentation and billing processes within Epic or similar systems. Experience Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general dentistry or pediatric dentistry setting. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records and medical documentation. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality. Experience performing X-ray procedures and utilizing 3D scanners or other advanced imaging technologies. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to assist with various dental procedures including endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialty areas. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care.
