This is not a traditional dental assistant position. As Lead Dental Assistant, you will serve as the clinical backbone of our team—delivering excellent chairside care, managing day-to-day supply operations, and leading our dental assistant staff. You will set the standard for clinical excellence and keep the practice running smoothly behind the scenes. Chairside Clinical Duties Deliver exceptional, patient-first care across a wide range of dental procedures Assist with procedure setup, instrument management, and strict infection control protocols Educate and empower patients to take ownership of their oral health Partner with doctors on treatment co-diagnosis and case presentation Support digital impression workflows and intraoral scanning Supply Ordering & Inventory Management Manage and maintain inventory of all clinical and office supplies Place and track orders with dental supply vendors; negotiate pricing and monitor budgets Audit stock levels regularly and anticipate supply needs based on procedure schedules Receive, organize, and log incoming shipments; verify orders for accuracy Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality of care Maintain relationships with vendor representatives and stay current on new products Team Leadership & Oversight Supervise, mentor, and support the dental assistant team on a day-to-day basis Onboard and train new dental assistants on clinical protocols, office standards, and workflows Conduct regular team check-ins and contribute to performance feedback Delegate tasks effectively and ensure consistent coverage across treatment areas Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative team culture Serve as the primary point of contact for scheduling, staffing concerns, and team communicationsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required Active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license or equivalent clinical experience Prior experience leading or mentoring a dental team Strong organizational skills and comfort managing supply budgets and vendor relationships Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and hold a team accountable Detail-oriented, dependable, and solutions-focused Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment Nice to Have Experience with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar) Background in procurement, inventory management, or office operations Familiarity with digital impression workflows or intraoral scanning We hire for character and capability—the right person will grow with us.WHY YOU'LL LOVE IT HERE
