Dental Assistant

```Duties```

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures
• Take and develop dental x-rays
• Perform patient assessments and record medical history
• Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
• Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
• Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the dental office
• Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring and trimming models ```Requirements```
• Certified Dental Assistant (CAD) certification preferred
• Experience in patient assessment and dental x-rays
• Knowledge of pediatric dentistry and techniques for working with children
• Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software
• Familiarity with dental receptionist duties, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records
• Understanding of medical imaging techniques used in dentistry
• Knowledge of aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment
• Strong anatomy knowledge to assist with dental procedures
• Familiarity with medical coding for billing purposes
