Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! In this vital role, you will provide exceptional support to dentists and patients alike, ensuring smooth and efficient dental procedures. Your expertise will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality dental care. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a fast-paced, patient-focused setting. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays and medical imaging, including 3D scans, while maintaining proper radiation safety standards. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic to ensure accurate documentation of medical and dental histories. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse to monitor patient health before procedures. Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and managing patient flow within the clinic. Follow aseptic techniques and infection control procedures diligently to uphold a safe clinical environment. Demonstrate strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate seamless communication within the team. Skills Proficiency with dental practice management software including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic EMR systems. Hands-on experience with X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging technology. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and best practices for maintaining patient confidentiality. Expertise in chairside assisting techniques across various specialties such as pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques. Ability to accurately record medical documentation and manage medical records efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and provide compassionate patient care. Experience working in a fast-paced dental clinic environment with a focus on pediatrics preferred. $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
