Job Description

Her We are seeking a motivated, friendly, and organized Front Desk / Dental Assistant to join our dental team. This dual role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to support both the administrative and clinical sides of the practice. The ideal candidate is compassionate, team-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care. --- Key Responsibilities Front Desk / Administrative Duties Greet patients warmly and create a welcoming environment. Manage phone calls, emails, and patient inquiries professionally. Schedule and confirm appointments, ensuring efficient use of the doctor's time. Collect and process patient information, including insurance verification and updates. Handle billing, payments, and assist with insurance claims. Maintain organized and accurate patient records. Coordinate patient flow to minimize wait times. Dental Assisting / Clinical Duties Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and ready. Assist the dentist during examinations, procedures, and treatments. Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays) as directed. Provide chairside support by anticipating the dentist's needs. Educate patients on oral hygiene, postoperative care, and treatment plans. Ensure compliance with infection control and OSHA regulations. Maintain inventory of supplies and restock as needed. --- Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (required). Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or state-required credentials (preferred, but training may be provided). Prior experience in a dental or healthcare office (front desk and/or clinical) preferred. Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Proficiency with dental software and scheduling systems (training available). Compassionate, professional, and patient-focused demeanor. --- Working Conditions Full-time position with a mix of front desk and clinical duties. Occasional evening or weekend shifts may be required depending on office hours. Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. - It is a starting practice, clinical duties will be 1 and a half day a week.
