Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant
INSTRUCTOR
to join our dynamic dental team. You must have at least 5 years experience as a dental assistant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality instruction ensuring the smooth operation of our dental assistant school. This position requires a blend of clinical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to assist both students, dentists and dental professionals effectively. Duties Teach classes one day per week. Implement the lesson plans that the owners of the school provide to you. Prepare and maintain dental instruments and equipment for various procedures. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Educate students on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and preventive dental practices. Show students how to document patient information accurately in accordance with established protocols. Instruct students on how to manage patient records, including documentation review and updates. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient workflow within the school and practice. Support curriculum development for training programs when applicable. Stay updated on dental terminology and advancements in technology relevant to the field. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of acute care and critical care practices is advantageous. Familiarity with learning technology platforms is a plus. Understanding of physiology may be beneficial for certain specialized practices. Experience working with students or in an educational capacity is desirable. Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with students and team members, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
