Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant / Treatment Coordinator who is passionate about patient care, highly organized, and motivated to help patients move forward with their treatment. This dual-role position combines clinical assisting with treatment coordination and case acceptance responsibilities. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of dental experience, excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to build trust with patients while supporting the doctor and clinical team. Key Responsibilities Clinical Dental Assisting Prepare treatment rooms and assist the doctor during dental procedures Take digital radiographs, photographs, and impressions as needed Ensure proper sterilization and infection control protocols are followed Set up and break down operatories Maintain inventory and clinical supplies Assist with patient education before and after treatment Treatment Coordination Present treatment plans and explain procedures in a clear, patient-friendly manner Review financial arrangements and payment options Coordinate insurance estimates and benefits with the insurance team Follow up with patients who have unscheduled treatment Help patients overcome concerns and move forward with recommended care Track treatment acceptance and production goals Patient Experience Create a welcoming and supportive experience for every patient Build strong patient relationships through excellent communication and follow-up Assist with scheduling treatment appointments efficiently Ensure patients understand their treatment and next steps before leaving the office Qualifications 2-3 years of dental experience required Dental assisting experience required Treatment coordination or case presentation experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and treatment planning Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience with Dentrix, Open Dental, Eaglesoft, or similar dental software preferred X-ray certification preferred (if required by state regulations) Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Paid sick leave Professional development and growth opportunities Supportive and collaborative team environment Ideal Candidate You are confident discussing treatment with patients, organized in your follow-up, comfortable working chairside, and committed to helping patients achieve their dental health goals.
