Position Overview As a Dental Assistant at Obour Dental, you will play a key role in both clinical care and the overall patient experience. This is a fast-paced position where organization, anticipation, and teamwork are essential. You'll assist in a wide range of procedures while helping maintain a smooth, efficient flow throughout the day. Responsibilities Set up and break down operatories with proper sterilization and infection control protocols Assist chairside during procedures (restorative, crown & bridge, endo, limited oral surgery, etc.) Take high-quality digital radiographs and assist with imaging Maintain accurate and detailed clinical notes in the system Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment Educate patients on procedures and post-op instructions Manage instruments, materials, and operatory efficiency Support front desk as needed (scheduling, patient flow, basic administrative tasks) Maintain compliance with OSHA and HIPAA standards Qualifications Dental assisting experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate) X-ray certification required (or ability to obtain) Familiarity with dental software (Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or similar) Strong communication skills and professional demeanor Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset What We're Looking For Someone who takes initiative and anticipates the doctor's needs Reliable, detail-oriented, and efficient Friendly and professional with patients Someone who wants to grow long-term with the practice Compensation & Perks Competitive hourly pay (based on experience) Opportunities for growth and skill development Supportive, team-driven work environment Modern office with updated technology 401K with employer match (for full time employees) Paid Sick Time (accrues according to NJ standard) Apply Today If you're looking for a practice where you can grow, be valued, and work in a positive environment—we'd love to meet you.
