Job Description

Job Summary Our beautiful private dental office is searching for a compassionate, patient centered Dental Assistant to join our close-knit team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment with precision and efficiency Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation, including medical records, and dental charts, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Operate electronic health record (EHR) system, Dentrix to document patient information accurately Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout treatment sessions Ensure infection control standards are upheld through proper sterilization of instruments and maintaining a sterile environment using aseptic techniques Utilize 3D scanners and other advanced imaging tools for comprehensive diagnostic assessments in general dentistry. Maintain a clean, organized clinical space that promotes safety and efficiency for both staff and patients Qualifications Valid x-ray license Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with familiarity in dental assisting procedures Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix is highly preferred Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, medical documentation, and medical coding standards Experience with X-ray imaging techniques and use of 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all timesJoin our team to deliver outstanding dental care while growing your skills in a vibrant environment that values your expertise!
