Duties Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials and sterilized equipment Take dental X-rays Be familiar with nitrous oxide Record accurate medical history and documentation in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix Ascend Educate children and parents on oral hygiene practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment care Maintain a clean and organized environment Manage appointment scheduling, patient records and assist the dental receptionist with administrative tasks as needed •Willing to negotiate pay based on experience•Skills Proficiency with EMR systems like Dentrix Ascend (not required) Knowledge of pediatric dental procedures, anatomy, terminology and infection control practices Experience with X-ray techniques in a pediatric population Familiarity with HIPAA regulations for safeguarding patient information and medical coding standards Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to young patients and their families If you are caring, dependable, and like making kids smile, we'd love to meet you!
