The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Provide exceptional chairside assistance, support orthodontic procedures, and ensure a smooth patient experience. Duties Assist orthodontists during various procedures including bracket placement, adjustments, and appliance fittings. Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Educate patients on orthodontic care, appliance maintenance, and oral hygiene practices. Support general dentistry tasks when needed, including assisting with pediatric dentistry patients. Maintain accurate medical documentation and coding for insurance purposes. Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique and dental terminology proficiency. Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting within an orthodontic setting. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques. Ability to operate X-ray equipment and utilize 3D scanners for diagnostic purposes. Experience with dental records management, medical coding, and documentation standards.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
