Dental Assistant

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will provide essential support to our pediatric dentists while ensuring a comfortable and safe environment for our young patients. Your expertise in dental assisting will be vital in delivering high-quality care and fostering positive experiences for children during their dental visits. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the dental operatory, ensuring that all instruments and materials are ready for use. Perform tasks such as taking medical imaging, recording vital signs, and ensuring patient comfort throughout procedures. Implement aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients and their guardians on proper dental hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage patient records and ensure compliance with clinic systems and protocols. Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as needed. Assist hygienist with X-Rays. Requirements Previous experience in dental assisting, preferably within a pediatric setting with a registered X-Ray license. Familiarity with aseptic technique and maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating patience and empathy towards young patients. Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is preferred but not mandatory.
