Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will contribute to delivering exceptional dental services in a friendly setting. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection prevention management and dental sterilization procedures. Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, oral surgery, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; document medical history, vital signs, and treatment notes accurately in compliance with medical documentation standards. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and explain dental terminology clearly to ensure understanding. Perform dental instrument processing including sterilization and aseptic technique to uphold the highest standards of infection control. Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist, verifying insurance information, and assisting with medical coding when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment by following infection prevention protocols and ensuring all clinical areas meet healthcare infection prevention and control standards. Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure or registration as required by state law. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures; experience in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery is a plus. Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix.. Strong understanding of dental x-ray techniques, medical imaging, anatomy knowledge, and dental terminology. Demonstrated expertise in infection control practices including aseptic technique and dental sterilization procedures. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient rapport; experience with four-handed dentistry preferred. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control policies along with HIPAA compliance standards for safeguarding patient information. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively within the team and provide outstanding patient care in pediatrics or general dentistry settings.
