This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about providing exceptional patient care and supporting clinical operations. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, manage administrative duties, and assist with clinical procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient dental practice environment. A strong background in dental assisting, familiarity with dental terminology are essential to excel in this position. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointment details, and facilitate a welcoming office atmosphere. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and adhering to infection prevention management protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop dental x-rays while maintaining strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical confidentiality policies. Measure vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse to support patient assessments prior to treatment. Maintain medical imaging equipment, ensure proper sterilization procedures are followed, and uphold infection control standards in accordance with healthcare infection prevention guidelines. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing medical coding for billing purposes, and updating medical records accurately within Epic or similar platforms. Skills Strong understanding of dental terminology and clinical procedures across general dentistry disciplines including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and implant procedures. Experience with dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection prevention management. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages including pediatrics; ability to explain procedures clearly and compassionately. Familiarity with healthcare infection control protocols and clinical confidentiality policies to ensure compliance at all times. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in both clinical assisting and administrative duties.
