The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. As a Dental Assistant, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient interactions, and maintain a sterile environment while adhering to infection control protocols. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various dental procedures. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control standards. Take dental X-rays as required. Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. Manage patient scheduling, including confirming appointments and following up on treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Maintain an organized and clean work area to ensure optimal patient comfort. Utilize dental software such as "Curve" for patient management and record keeping. Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a positive experience. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a dental assisting program is preferred. At least 3 years experience is required to be considered. Current X-ray license. Certification in Dental Assisting (CDA) is a plus. Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is desirable. Knowledge of infection control protocols and practices in a dental setting. Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding medical coding related to dental procedures. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages, particularly children in pediatric settings.
