Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, support patient care, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments with precision and efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly following infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners, ensuring patient safety and comfort while adhering to HIPAA regulations for medical documentation and records. Manage patient flow by greeting patients, updating medical histories, taking vital signs, and explaining procedures clearly to foster a positive experience. Maintain accurate medical and dental records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA standards. Support administrative duties including scheduling appointments, answering phone calls as a dental receptionist, and managing patient communications efficiently. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology, aseptic techniques, anatomy knowledge, and infection control practices to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality care. Skills Extensive experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Epic for accurate medical documentation and record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, four-handed dentistry, and taking X-rays with proper aseptic technique. Familiarity with dental software like Eaglesoft for appointment management and patient tracking. Ability to perform vital signs assessment and medical imaging procedures confidently within a general dentistry or pediatric dentistry setting. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Understanding of dental terminology related to endodontics, prosthodontics, pediatrics, and other specialties within dentistry. Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred to create a caring environment for young patients. Ability to operate 3D scanners and other advanced imaging equipment effectively for comprehensive diagnostics. Excellent communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with dentists, hygienists, patients, and administrative staff. $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
