Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Treatment Coordinator/Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine clinical expertise with exceptional patient communication skills, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for every patient. The ideal candidate will be proficient in dental procedures, medical documentation, and practice management systems, contributing to efficient office operations and outstanding patient care. This position is vital in supporting both clinical and administrative functions within a busy dental practice. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures, including chairside assisting, taking X-rays. Manage patient records accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on treatment plans, post-operative care, and preventive dentistry practices while addressing their questions with professionalism and clarity. Coordinate appointment scheduling, treatment planning, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic workflow and patient satisfaction. Maintain infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to uphold the highest standards of safety and hygiene within the dental environment. Prepare dental materials and assist with procedures involving prosthodontics, endodontics, pediatric dentistry, and general dentistry treatments. Operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Support administrative tasks such as dental coding, billing documentation, and managing patient records to ensure precise recordkeeping. Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a positive work environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care. Experience Prior experience working in a dental office setting is required, with familiarity in dental assisting roles involving chairside support and patient interaction. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, is essential for managing digital records efficiently. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical documentation and patient privacy is mandatory. Strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques is necessary for safe clinical support. Training in dental assisting is required.
