Job Description

Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized according to infection control protocols. Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, itero scanners, and medical imaging tools while maintaining proper aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support the dental reception process by scheduling appointments. Maintain infection control standards by practicing proper sterilization techniques and adhering to OSHA guidelines. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care instructions, and the importance of regular dental visits. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, but not required. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is required. Experience operating dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry and pediatrics enhances patient communication. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills is necessary for success in this role.
