- Full-time Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a positive, efficient, and caring environment for our patients.
REQUIRED
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for procedures. Assist dentists chairside during various dental treatments, including restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontic work. Take and develop dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to aseptic techniques. Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and medical history of patients to ensure safety during procedures; document all medical information precisely. Provide excellent customer service as a dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, confirming patient details, and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain infection control standards by following strict protocols for sterilization and handling of medical equipment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Support pediatric dentistry cases by understanding specialized procedures and communicating effectively with young patients. Assist with medical documentation and coding for insurance claims using Epic or similar platforms to streamline billing processes. Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene practices to promote long-term oral health. Qualifications DANB certificationREQUIRED
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and vital signs measurement. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix; strong understanding of HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques essential for safe practice. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners; experience with medical imaging is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records and documentation. Excellent communication skills suitable for working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics. Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) preferredPay:
