Applicant must be licensed in New Mexico/registered with NM Board of Dental Health Care and have current CPR certification. Potential prospect MUST be well-versed in four-handed dentistry; open-minded (willing to learn & complete tasks without the "I know what I'm doing" attitude), reliable, hard-working, team-oriented (understands the necessity to assist everyone in the office, not just the dentist), quick learner, flexible, and drama-free. Fluency in Spanish helpful. Please send resume if you meet the criteria and if you're interested. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols. Take and develop medical imaging, including X-rays, while adhering to safety standards. Manage patient records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring everything is stocked and ready for use. Utilize dental software such as Eaglesoft for scheduling appointments and managing patient information. Apply aseptic techniques to prevent infections during procedures. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required. Familiarity with four-handed dentistry techniques is essential. Knowledge of infection control practices and medical terminology. Proficiency in medical imaging techniques and equipment. Experience with dental software systems such as Eaglesoft is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are critical for maintaining accurate records. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and team members. Aseptic technique knowledge is highly desirable, especially in clinical settings.
