Our team values collaboration, efficiency, and delivering an exceptional patient experience. We are seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to join our highly-skilled clinical department. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for during their visits.
Responsibilities and Primary focus:
Manage lab and sterilization area Sterilize operatories and instruments according to OSHA guidelines. Assist both chairside for doctor and hygiene Provide patient education in oral hygiene, with diagnosed treatment, and post-operative care. Order and stock our clinic and maintain inventory logs, place supply orders as needed Coordinate necessary operatory repairs Enter accurate clinical notes and protect patient privacy per HIPAA guidelines. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures. Depending on specific needs within our dental office, dental assistants review care plans with patients, set up equipment for treatment, take impressions for whitening trays, take vital signs when necessary and apply fluoride treatments. Ability to take great x-rays is a must. Duties may also include inventory duties, such as ordering supplies and ensuring the treatment room is fully stocked and sterilized before each appointment. Attention to detail and a focus on providing a positive patient experience, every visit, is a priority within our practice and should be a shared goal with the right dental assistant.
Qualifications:
Dental assisting experience preferred Radiology certification
Skills:
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety as well as privacy regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills; phone skills are a plus Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable

8 -12 hour shifts Monday to Friday Ability to reliably commute to Las Cruces a must; NM license required.
