The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental procedures and terminology, with experience in both general and pediatric dentistry. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred. This role involves working closely with dentists to provide high-quality patient care, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the dental clinic. We also welcome candidates with no prior dental experience— training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to learn and grow with our team. Duties Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and following up on visits as a dental receptionist. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions. Monitor vital signs and assist in medical imaging when necessary. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for patient management and documentation. Support pediatric patients by providing compassionate care tailored to their needs. Operate 3D scanners for advanced imaging when required. Experience Candidates with previous dental experience are preferred and should demonstrate proficiency in the following areas: Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and aseptic techniques. Familiarity with various dental specialties including prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics. Experience with medical coding, documentation, and maintaining medical records is a plus. Strong understanding of infection control practices within a clinical environment. However, we also offer comprehensive training for individuals new to the dental field who have strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to provide excellent patient care in a collaborative team environment.
