Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients seeking exceptional oral healthcare. In this vital role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment areas, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to efficient clinic operations and outstanding patient experiences. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for each procedure, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and organized according to infection control standards. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, implant placement- single and AOX, and prosthodontics by providing chairside support. Take digital dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners, NOMAD, and CBCT while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols. Manage patient records accurately within Open Dental , ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and medical history updates to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing dental wellness. Maintain a clean, sterile environment by adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control procedures throughout all clinical activities. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and assisting the team when needed. Ensure compliance with all relevant dental terminology standards and medical coding practices for accurate recordkeeping. Support team with limited lab work done in office with 3D printing (training provided) Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially within general dentistry or oral surgery. Proficiency with dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and managing medical imaging tools like 3D scanners. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control protocols, and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Understanding of dental terminology related to restorative procedures, endodontics, prosthodontics, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental assisting roles.
Pay:
$22.00 - $24.00 per hour
