This is a temporary position offering 32-40 hours per week, with the potential to transition into a permanent role contingent upon job performance and the demonstration of exceptional communication skills. In this fast-paced, energetic environment, you will support our dental team by preparing treatment areas, assisting during complex procedures, and upholding the highest standards of infection control and patient comfort. A proactive approach is essential to fostering a welcoming atmosphere that promotes both oral health and positive patient experiences. Successful candidates must be computer-literate, possess professional telephone etiquette, and demonstrate a willingness to assist with administrative duties in the front office as needed. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to develop advanced skills in general dentistry while collaborating with a dedicated team committed to clinical excellence..
  • Responsibilities
  • Sanitize treatment spaces by disinfecting tools, arranging dental equipment, and verifying that all areas comply with rigorous aseptic and infection control guidelines.
  • Inform patients about effective oral hygiene routines and recovery instructions, using accessible dental language to improve their comfort and clarity.
  • Capture and process digital X-rays, strictly observing positioning and safety mandates to protect patient health.
  • Keep precise clinical records, such as vital signs, health histories, and treatment details, within EMR platforms like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while ensuring total HIPAA compliance.
  • Assist with front-office operations, such as managing appointment calendars, overseeing patient arrivals/departures, handling transactions, facilitating referrals, and completing routine clerical tasks like document digitization and filing.
  • Preserve a tidy and well-stocked clinical workspace by practicing diligent supply control and maintaining top-tier sanitation standards.
  • Experience
  • At least 12 months of direct, hands-on clinical work in a dental practice is mandatory. Backgrounds in general dentistry, endodontics, or prosthodontics are especially desirable.
  • Demonstrated competence in core dental support tasks, such as four-handed dentistry, assisting chairside, taking vital signs, and performing diagnostic imaging.
  • Solid grasp of HIPAA standards, with a proven track record of upholding privacy and documentation accuracy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with the capacity to explain dental concepts effectively while delivering empathetic care in a fast-paced setting.
  • Relevant training or certification in X-ray safety, infection control protocols, and dental anatomy is highly valued and will be viewed as a major advantage.
Pay:
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour
