Job Description

Dental Assistant 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Outgoing and friendly Dental Assistant wanted to join our highly positive team. If you are looking for a place where you can make a positive difference for your patients and are a valued team member, then this is the position for you. We are a well-established, one-doctor private practice in a beautiful office with state-of-the-art equipment including digital radio-graphs, intra-oral camera, and Dentrix software. We are looking for an experienced, mature and highly-skilled team player to help us care for our wonderful patients. The right candidate will have the following attributes: Fabulous communication skills - must be a "people" person A positive work ethic Detail-oriented, positive attitude A motivated, self-starter - takes initiative A dedicated worker and team player You must have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a dental assistant, and be knowledgeable in all types of procedures and infection control. Experience with Dentrix software is a plus, but not required.
Some duties entail:
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials. Maintain an aseptic environment by following proper infection control protocols. Take digital dental X-rays while adhering to safety standards. Record and update patient medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Monitor vital signs and assist with patient assessments as needed. Demonstrate knowledge of dental anatomy to assist in treatment planning and patient education. Collaborate effectively with the dental team to ensure optimal patient care. Salary based on experience.
