Dental Assistant

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our Lovely Little Team and dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow. Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following aseptic techniques. Taking Digital Dental Radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient visit. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care. Manage appointment scheduling, patient intake, and follow-up communications. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the practice. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient experience and treatment outcomes. Qualifications Proficiency in medical terminology and dental terminology is essential. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry is preferred. Experience with Dental coding, Dental records management, and Dental documentation is advantageous. Knowledge of medical imaging techniques is a plus. Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members. Certification in dental assisting or relevant experience in a dental setting is preferred. Experience with Dentrix practice management software and Dexis imaging software is required. "Candidate should be proficient in intraoral scanning and skilled in capturing high-quality intraoral and extraoral photographs for patient records and treatment planning. Experienced in preparing and positioning patients for CBCT and panoramic radiographic imaging. Skilled in providing four-handed chairside assistance, ensuring efficient workflow and patient comfort during clinical procedures.
