- $34/hour Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to support comprehensive dental care services in an acute care setting.
The Dental Assistant will assist dentists during examinations and procedures, prepare treatment areas, sterilize instruments, perform radiographic procedures, maintain patient records, and contribute to efficient clinical operations. Key Responsibilities Patient Care Support Prepare patients for examinations and dental procedures. Assist dentists chairside during a variety of treatments. Ensure patient comfort and maintain efficient patient flow. Instrument & Equipment Management Sterilize instruments and equipment using autoclave procedures. Maintain treatment rooms, dental equipment, and supply inventory. Follow strict infection prevention and control protocols. Radiography & Laboratory Support Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs (X-rays). Perform assigned dental laboratory procedures. Prepare and mix dental materials including amalgams, cements, and composites. Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate patient records and documentation. Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory guidelines. Support departmental quality standards and operational efficiency. Required Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Qualification Pathways (One Required) Minimum 600 instructional hours from an approved Dental Assistant program, OR Minimum 300 instructional hours plus six (6) months of full-time Dental Assistant experience, OR One (1) year of full-time Dental Assistant experience performing required duties, OR Equivalent combination of education and experience Required Skills & Experience Chairside Dental Assisting Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Procedures Instrument Sterilization & Autoclave Operation Dental Equipment Preparation & Maintenance Infection Prevention & Control Dental Materials Preparation Patient Preparation & Support Medical & Dental Documentation Basic Laboratory Procedures Strong communication and organizational skills English proficiency (reading, writing, speaking) For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-587-6677 .
