This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical support, ensuring patients receive exceptional service from their first contact through treatment completion. We are committed to fostering a positive, fast-paced workplace that values professionalism, accuracy, and compassionate patient care. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and facilitate appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Manage multi-line phone systems with professionalism, providing clear communication and efficient appointment coordination. Verify insurance benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, and perform insurance claims processing and follow-up using EMR systems like Epic, Meditech, or Athenahealth. Maintain accurate dental records, review documentation for completeness, and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Assist with patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and updating medical and dental records in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as eClinicalWorks or similar platforms. Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment, and assisting with basic dental procedures when needed. Handle billing tasks such as medical collection processes, CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and documentation review to ensure precise medical billing and coding practices. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or medical clinic environment with strong knowledge of dental terminology and medical administrative procedures. Proficiency in dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft) and EMR systems (Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth). Familiarity with insurance verification processes, medical billing, CPT coding, ICD coding, and Medicare/Medicaid guidelines. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), typing (10-key), and familiarity with health information management systems. Exceptional patient service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and clerical experience at a front desk setting. Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in documentation review and filing. Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse patient populations effectively. Strong organizational skills with experience in office management, appointment scheduling, medical records handling, and administrative support.
