Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in dental assisting, with expertise in chairside support and patient care. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment where precision, professionalism, and compassion are valued. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, delivering high-quality dental services, and maintaining compliance with health and safety standards. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during various procedures by preparing instruments, materials, and equipment to ensure efficient workflow. Perform chairside assisting duties including providing support during restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric dental treatments. Take X-rays using digital imaging systems such as Dentrix Ascend , ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety. Maintain infection control protocols through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization of instruments and operatory areas. Monitor and record vital signs of patients prior to procedures, including blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates. Manage patient records within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Epic or Dentrix while ensuring HIPAA compliance for patient confidentiality. Educate patients on oral health practices and post-treatment care instructions in a clear, professional manner. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed. Ensure the clinic environment adheres to infection control standards and maintains a clean, organized workspace at all times. Collaborate with team members to deliver comprehensive dental care across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties. Qualifications Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and clinical procedures. X-Ray digital required. Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures Experience with digital charting and dental software preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional appearance and positive attitude Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Team player with a strong commitment to patient care

From $26.00 per hour
