Responsibilities Assist dentists during a wide range of dental procedures, including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with sterilized instruments and materials, adhering strictly to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring accurate positioning and patient safety Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; document treatment details accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform chairside assisting duties, including taking vital signs, medical history updates, and explaining procedures to patients to ease anxiety Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical documentation, and coordinating with dental reception staff Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to infection prevention standards and OSHA guidelines Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with a strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge Experience with EMR systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic for efficient record keeping and medical coding Skilled in radiography including X-ray procedures and 3D scanner operation for comprehensive diagnostics Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes to ensure patient safety Ability to perform vital signs assessment and basic medical imaging relevant to general dentistry and pediatric dentistry cases Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist or front desk support are beneficial for seamless patient flow Strong understanding of pediatric dentistry principles when working with children patients Ability to work effectively in four-handed dentistry setups alongside dentists for efficient clinical workflows Join us if you're passionate about providing top-tier dental care in a supportive environment that encourages growth!
