Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a strong and dedicated Dental Assistant to fill in while one of our employees is out on maternity leave. This is a temporary position beginning in early July with flexible duration based on office needs. Candidate must be confident assisting root canal procedures and able to consistently take clear, diagnostic-quality endodontic radiographs without constant re-takes or supervision. We are looking for someone experienced, detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Please do not apply unless you are experienced with endodontic assisting and can independently take accurate radiographs. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentist during a variety of procedures including providing chairside support with precision and professionalism. Take dental X-rays using digital imaging systems such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Support infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures to maintain a safe clinical environment. Collaborate with the team on four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures and improve patient comfort. Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with team members and patients. Assist with medical administrative tasks as needed. Requirements Prior experience working in a dental environment with endodontic assisting Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures is essential. Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices safely and effectively. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical coding practices related to dentistry. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced setting. Understanding of HIPPA regulations for patient privacy protection CPR/AED certification is preferred
