Job Description

Overview Looking for a rockstar dental assistant to join our growing team. Ideal candidate has at least 1-3 years of experience working as a dental assistant, has phenomenal interpersonal skills, and works well in a team setting. Compensation is negotiable based off of level of experience. Duties Assist dentist during a variety of dental procedures Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly. Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while adhering to strict infection control and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical history updates to support safe treatment planning. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, post-treatment care, and answer their questions with clear, compassionate communication. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and performing front desk duties as a dental receptionist when needed. Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting within a busy dental clinic environment, with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and data security Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals. Experience with Open Dental is a plus
Pay:
$24.00 - $27.00 per hour
