Job Description

Job Summary Lyndhurst Family Dental, a Dr. Nassif & Associates office, is seeking an experienced Dental Assistant to work Monday through Thursday with an outstanding doctor and staff. We are a family-owned private practice offering competitive pay based on experience. We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, and a strong team player. Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures, including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric treatments, ensuring an efficient workflow and patient safety.
  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies while maintaining strict aseptic technique and infection control protocols.
  • Take high-quality dental radiographs (X-rays) and operate digital imaging equipment, to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Experience with scanners is a plus.
  • Manage patient records in electronic medical record (EMR) systems ,Eaglesoft, ensuring accurate documentation, coding, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures, answering questions, and supporting patient comfort throughout visits.
  • Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment by adhering to infection control standards and proper disposal of contaminated materials. Qualifications
  • Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant in a general or pediatric dentistry setting, with strong knowledge of dental assisting procedures.
  • Proficiency with Eaglesoft or similar EMR software for managing patient records and documentation is helpful.
  • Familiarity with dental terminology relevant to dental clinics.
  • Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely in accordance with radiation safety standards; experience with digital scanners is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of infection control practices, including aseptic technique, and knowledge of oral anatomy.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with dentists, hygienists, dental receptionists, and patients.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Certification in CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
