Job Description

Header Overview Join our dynamic dental team as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA), where your skills will directly enhance patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will perform advanced chairside procedures, assist with complex dental treatments, and ensure a smooth, efficient workflow within a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Your expertise in dental assisting combined with your knowledge of dental technologies and infection control practices will contribute to delivering exceptional oral health services. Duties Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments using four-handed dentistry techniques. Restorative treatments Take and develop high-quality X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary materials, and maintaining aseptic techniques to uphold infection control standards.. Perform vital signs assessment and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient evaluations in collaboration with the dental team. Support the dental receptionist by scheduling appointments, confirming patient information, and managing patient flow efficiently. Maintain thorough knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding to facilitate clear communication within the team and with patients. Ensure compliance with all infection control protocols and safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized clinical environment. Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with proficiency in chairside assisting across general dentistry Certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) or equivalent credential preferred; must be licensed or registered according to state regulations. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Skilled in taking X-rays, including digital imaging and 3D scanning technology; capable of performing intraoral photography when needed. Excellent understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. This is a great opportunity to join out team!
