Jane Walker, DDS is seeking an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) to support the dental team by performing advanced clinical procedures permitted by state regulations, enhance patient care efficiency, and ensure high-quality restorative outcomes. This role combines hands‑on technical skill with patient communication, clinical organization, and teamwork. About Our Practice Dr. Walker's philosophy centers on treating each patient as a unique individual. We take time to understand their needs, concerns, and goals, providing personalized care that supports both oral health and over all well‑being. Key Responsibilities Clinical Procedures — Place and contour restorative materials under dentist supervision. Chairside Assistance — Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring smooth workflow and patient comfort. Radiography — Capture high‑quality digital radiographs following safety protocols. Impressions & Scanning — Take impressions, pour models, and fabricate provisional restorations as well as scanning. Patient Education — Provide postoperative instructions, oral hygiene guidance, and treatment explanations. Recordkeeping — Document procedures, materials used, and patient interactions accurately in the practice management system. Clinical Setup — Prepare instruments, materials, and equipment for restorative and preventive procedures. Inventory Management
  • Work closely with dentist to ensure office is stocked as needed and order supplies as necessary.
Preferred Qualifications State EFDA Certification and proof of completed expanded‑function training. Current CPR/BLS certification . Proficiency in digital radiography , restorative materials , and four‑handed dentistry . Strong communication skills and a patient‑centered mindset. Working with loupes preferred.
