Duties Perform expanded functions such as coronal polishing, temporary restorations, and placement of sealants under the supervision of the dentist Assist during a wide range of dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Take and develop high-quality X-ray images while adhering to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques Manage medical documentation, including updating electronic health records (EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix), ensuring HIPAA compliance and accuracy in medical records Conduct vital signs assessments and medical history updates for patients, especially pediatrics, to ensure safety and proper treatment planning Operate dental equipment such as 3D scanners, digital X-ray machines, and other dental imaging tools with precision Maintain a clean, sterile environment by following infection control standards and ensuring all instruments are properly sterilized Support front desk duties as needed by assisting with patient check-in/out processes, scheduling appointments, and managing medical coding for billing purposes Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for managing patient records and documentation Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry and specialties like prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards for patients and staff Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and documentation Competence in using dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners and digital radiography tools Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with dentists, patients, and team members in a fast-paced environment Join us if you're passionate about providing top-tier dental care!
