Mobile Dental Assistant with Radiology Certificate

Overview HealthDrive is currently seeking a Mobile Dental Assistant with Radiology Certificate to work Full-time (5 days per week) in the greater Toledo, Ohio and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities Essential Functions:

Prepares patients for dental procedures. Assists Dentist during dental procedures. Sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays and prepares materials. Records treatment information in patient records. Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist. Assists dentist in the management of medical or dental emergencies. Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs. Clean and polish removable appliances. Make preliminary impressions for study casts and occlusal registrations for mounting study casts. Operates X-ray equipment only if holding a valid Radiology Certificate (see Qualifications) Adheres to OSHA guidelines regarding patient care, disposal of materials, and sterilization of equipment on a daily basis. Performs other duties as assigned.

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently under direct supervision on a daily basis. Ability to use email, the internet and to learn other healthcare related software. Self starter attitude with the desire to deliver quality, thoughtful and attentive care.

Qualifications Education and Qualifications:

High School graduate or GED. Previous experience and/or externship experience required. Must possess a current Radiology Certificate (or equivalent credential) to operate X-ray equipment; certificate must be verifiable at the start of each shift

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand, to bend, and to lift. Ability to transport patients in wheelchairs.

Nursing Home or Assisted Living Centers, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted and Independent Care Facilities, and Continuing Care Retirement Centers.

Facility Layout:

Hallways, ramps, elevators, swinging doors, stairs.

Equipment:

Mobile chairs and mobile beds at the facilities.

Travel :
