We are seeking a skilled and motivated Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) who is passionate about dentistry, patient care, and professional growth. Job Type Full-Time Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off (PTO) and paid holidays 401(k) with employer matching Continuing education opportunities Supportive, collaborative work environment Key Responsibilities Assist the dentist chairside during a variety of procedures Perform expanded functions in accordance with Ohio EFDA licensure and regulations Place and finish restorations, take impressions, and assist with provisional restorations Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures Educate patients on treatment plans, oral hygiene, and post-operative care Maintain accurate clinical documentation Follow infection control, OSHA, and HIPAA standards Monitor and maintain dental supplies and operatory cleanliness Collaborate with the clinical and front office teams to ensure smooth daily workflow Qualifications Current Ohio EFDA certification (required) Active Dental Assistant registration/licensure in Ohio CPR/BLS certification Prior dental assisting experience preferred Strong clinical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and patient-care skills Reliable, professional, and team-oriented Willingness to learn and grow within the practice Equal Opportunity Employer VZ Dentistry is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
