Dental Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our private dental office team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following infection control protocols. Take dental X-rays, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Perform chairside assisting duties, including four-handed dentistry techniques. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix for efficient record management. Skills Proficiency in dental assisting practices, including knowledge of general dentistry. Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge. Experience with infection control measures and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety. Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members. Prior experience in a dental clinic setting is highly desirable.
