Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Lead Dental Assistant, where your expertise and leadership will elevate patient care and streamline clinical operations. In this vital role, you will oversee daily dental assisting activities, support the dental team with technical procedures, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and patient care. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining efficient clinic workflows. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead by example in a fast-paced, patient-centered dental practice committed to excellence. Hours are Monday- Thursday 7:45-5:00 with lunch from 1:00-2:00 Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate dental assisting staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures including general dentistry, dentures, oral surgery, endodontics, and implants Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed Operate dental equipment such as X-ray machines, and 3D scanners Manage patient flow by verifying medical history, taking vital signs, and updating medical records in Dentrix Educate patients on oral health care instructions and post-treatment care to enhance their understanding and comfort Maintain accurate medical documentation, coding procedures appropriately for billing and insurance purposes Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices Demonstrated leadership skills in a dental setting, with experience supervising or mentoring other assistants preferred Proficiency in Dentrix is a plus Hands-on experience with chairside assisting across various specialties including oral surgery, implants, dentures, and endodontics Knowledge of X-ray techniques, medical imaging procedures, and use of 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics Join us as a Lead Dental Assistant to make a meaningful impact on patient health while advancing your career in a supportive and energetic setting. Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
