Registered Dental Assistant 12911 East 31st Street South, Tulsa, OK 74134 From $22 an hour - Full-time From $22 an hour - Full-time Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA), where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring smooth clinic operations. As an RDA, you will provide chairside assistance, manage dental procedures, and support the overall health and comfort of our patients. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for each appointment. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and safety protocols. Manage patient records using EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; document treatment details accurately and efficiently. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Maintain strict infection control practices through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures. Support administrative tasks such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation. Operate advanced equipment like 3D scanners and handle medical coding for accurate billing and recordkeeping. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times. Collaborate seamlessly in a four-handed dentistry setup to maximize efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and oral health best practices to promote ongoing wellness. Requirements Valid Registered Dental Assistant license or certification in accordance with state regulations. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; familiarity with medical records management is preferred. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry is highly desirable; ability to work effectively with children is essential. Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding standards for accurate documentation. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners safely. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; capable of explaining procedures clearly to patients. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
