Relay information to the doctor Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials as needed Take dental x-rays as needed (we follow

As Low As Reasonably Achievable) Proper sterilization of instruments Proper cleaning of dental rooms Assist hygienists if needed with periodontal charting, or help the front office Undertake lab tasks as instructed, and track lab cases in and out/delivery dates Fill out referrals to specialists for patients Maintain proper documentation of patient records Obtain consent forms and treatment plans prior to treatment Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Take a patient's payment and schedule the patient's next appointment Answer phones as needed Accurately put the treatment plan into the dental software system Perform four-handed dentistry Take impressions, patient photos, x-rays, make temporary crowns, and place sealants Keep dental equipment and materials organized A positive, engaged personality type that enjoys contributing to a dynamic team Consistently projects a positive, professional image to patients and is customer service-driven Demonstrates professional, effective, and respectful verbal and written communications and listening skills Can work independently and is self-directed Maintains a high level of confidentiality and patient privacy (HIPAA) Excellent organizational capabilities and attention to detail Proven experience as a dental assistant Extensive knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Weekly spore testing and documentation Understanding of Oregon health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks, like coronal polishing, is a plus Advanced computer skills Desire to learn and grow with the practice Excellent interpersonal communication skills Reliable for attendance as well as performance standards Qualifications EFDA or EFODA certification required Current Oregon radiology certification preferred Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team-oriented mindset Passion for patient care and professionalism Experience with Eaglesoft is a plus Scanning experience is a plus What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who is: Reliable and punctual Adaptable and solution-oriented Compassionate toward patients Professional in appearance and communication Motivated to grow personally and professionally Committed to maintaining a positive workplace culture
